Stephen Casey Architects was founded in 1994 with the idea of providing Architectural and Urban Design services with a particular emphasis on adapting the old to accomodate the new. The Pittsburgh region has a wealth of existing built environments that must be adapted to accomdate today's economic and social realities.  

 

This approach may lead to a design solution which blends our history with our future in a seemless whole that appears to have always been; or it may lead, at times, to an extreme contrast between the original structure and new intervention.
